Retain the source wording

Ask the seller for the model description exactly as it appears in the source-market paperwork. Keep that wording beside the English sales name rather than replacing it. Oshan and Oushang are spellings buyers may encounter around the Chinese 欧尚 name; the spelling used in an advertisement does not independently identify the hardware or production batch.

A useful identity packet contains the VIN, manufacturer label, production date, available registration information and clear exterior and cabin photographs. Link those items to one candidate record. When a seller sends a generic reference image, label it as such and request current photographs of the actual car before making a condition judgement.

Understand what official references establish

Changan's current global gallery presents an X5 PLUS under the Changan brand. Its technical publication system also contains a second-generation Changan X5PLUS document listing dated October 2024. Those references establish manufacturer usage of the name; they do not provide an exhaustive conversion table for every earlier Oshan-labelled vehicle.

A name correction needs a record

If an invoice draft and the seller's message use different model wording, ask the responsible party to explain and correct the inconsistency where appropriate. The next person reviewing the file should be able to understand whether the wording was abbreviated, translated differently or attached to another vehicle.

Preserve the evidence through substitutions

When a seller proposes another vehicle, start a new identity packet even if the replacement carries the same colour and advertised year. Keep the previous inspection and quotation attached to the original VIN. A change in family wording or production information should be visible to the workshop and purchasing manager.
